I watched the last leaf fall today.
मैंने आज आखिरी पत्ती को गिरते देखा।
It hung on the branch for days.
वह दिनों तक शाखा पर लटकी रही।
I thought it would never fall.
मुझे लगा वह कभी नहीं गिरेगी।
But today the wind was soft.
लेकिन आज हवा नरम थी।
And it just let go.
और उसने बस छोड़ दिया।
I felt a strange sadness.
मुझे एक अजीब उदासी महसूस हुई।
Maybe because it reminds me of endings.
शायद इसलिए कि यह मुझे अंत की याद दिलाती है।
Endings are hard for me.
अंत मेरे लिए मुश्किल होते हैं।
But that leaf taught me something.
लेकिन उस पत्ती ने मुझे कुछ सिखाया।
Holding on is not always brave.
थामे रहना हमेशा बहादुरी नहीं होता।
Sometimes letting go is the right thing.
कभी-कभी छोड़ देना ही सही होता है।
I hope I can learn that too.
मुझे उम्मीद है कि मैं भी यह सीख सकूँ।
