I remember the day I got my first paycheck.

It was a thin envelope, but it felt heavy.

I earned it myself, with my own hands.

That night I sat on my bed, holding the check.
그날 밤 침대에 앉아 수표를 들고 있었어요.
I thought about all the things I could buy.
살 수 있는 모든 것들을 생각했어요.
But I also felt scared to spend it.
하지만 쓰는 게 두렵기도 했어요.
In the end, I bought a simple dinner for my family.
결국 가족을 위해 간단한 저녁을 샀어요.
It was a small thing, but it meant a lot.
작은 일이었지만 큰 의미가 있었어요.
That meal felt like a thank you to them.
그 식사는 가족에 대한 감사함 같았어요.
I also saved a little for later.
조금은 나중을 위해 저축했어요.
It was my first lesson in managing money.
돈 관리에 대한 첫 교훈이었어요.
Now I think of that night often.
