I got my first paycheck last month.
上个月我拿到了第一份工资。
It was not a lot of money.
钱不算多。
But it felt big in my hand.
但握在手里感觉沉甸甸的。
I looked at the number many times.
我看了那个数字好多遍。
I thought about what to do with it.
我想着该怎么花。
I wanted to buy something for myself.
我想给自己买点东西。
But then I thought of my mom.
但接着我想到了妈妈。
She always gives me everything.
她总是把一切都给我。
So I bought her a warm scarf.
所以我给她买了条暖和的围巾。
Her face lit up when she saw it.
她看到时脸上亮了起来。
That smile was worth more than the money.
那个笑容比钱更珍贵。
