I had a talk with a mom yesterday.
昨日、あるお母さんと話をしました。
It was about her son, Taro.
息子の太郎くんのことです。
I wanted to share both the good and the tricky.
良いところも難しいところも伝えたかった。
First, I said he is very curious.
まず、彼はとても好奇心旺盛だと言いました。
He asks many questions in class.
授業でたくさん質問します。
Then I said he sometimes interrupts others.
それから、時々他の子の話を遮ると言いました。
I told her, "We are on the same team here."
「私たちは同じチームです」と伝えました。
I said at home, it might help to practice waiting.
家では、待つ練習をすると良いかもしれませんと言いました。
She looked relieved.
彼女はほっとした顔をしました。
She thanked me for being honest.
正直に話してくれてありがとうと言いました。
I felt we built trust.
信頼関係が築けたと感じました。
Honesty with kindness works well.
優しさを持った正直さは効果的です。
