My manager wanted to ship the feature today.
Gusto ng manager ko na ilabas ang feature ngayon.
I checked it one more time.
Sinuri ko ito nang isa pang beses.
I found a small bug that could confuse users.
Nakakita ako ng maliit na bug na makakalito sa mga user.
I felt pressure to just let it go.
Naramdaman ko ang pressure na hayaan na lang.
But I knew the risk to the user was real.
Pero alam kong totoo ang panganib sa user.
So I walked to my manager's desk.
Kaya nagpunta ako sa desk ng manager ko.
I said, 'I am not comfortable shipping yet.'
Sinabi ko, 'Hindi pa ako komportable na ilabas ito.'
I explained the bug and the user impact.
Ipinaliwanag ko ang bug at ang epekto sa user.
Then I asked, 'Could we hold one more day?'
Tapos nagtanong ako, 'Puwede bang antayin ng isa pang araw?'
She listened and agreed.
Nakinig siya at pumayag.
We fixed the bug the next morning.
Inayos namin ang bug kinaumagahan.
Shipping felt good because it was ready.
