I wake up before the sun.
Gumising ako bago sumikat ang araw.
The city is still dark.
Madilim pa ang lungsod.
I drink my coffee alone.
Mag-isa akong umiinom ng kape.
Outside, the streets are empty.
Sa labas, walang tao sa mga kalye.
I hear a bird call once.
May narinig akong isang ibon.
Then it stops.
Tapos tumigil ito.
This hour feels like a secret.
Parang lihim ang oras na ito.
The world is not awake yet.
Hindi pa gising ang mundo.
I like this quiet space.
Gusto ko ang tahimik na espasyong ito.
It is just for me.
Para lang ito sa akin.
Soon the noise will come.
Malapit nang dumating ang ingay.
But right now, I have this.
Pero sa ngayon, nasa akin ito.
