I almost stopped writing this report.
このレポートを書くのをやめようと思った。
My eyes were tired and my back hurt.
目が疲れて背中が痛かった。
I wanted to close my laptop and walk away.
パソコンを閉じて逃げ出したかった。
But I told myself: just one more page.
でも自分に言い聞かせた。あと1ページだけ。
Then one more sentence.
そしてあと1文だけ。
Then one more word.
そしてあと1語だけ。
I kept going like that until the end.
そうやって最後まで進み続けた。
When I typed the final period, I smiled.
最後のピリオドを打ったとき、私は微笑んだ。
It was not a perfect report.
完璧なレポートじゃなかった。
But I finished it.
でも仕上げた。
That feeling of finishing is like a burst of energy.
やり遂げた感覚は、まるでエネルギーが爆発するようだ。
Now I know I can push through again.
もう一度頑張れると分かった。
