I used to say yes to everything.
Solía decir que sí a todo.
I thought it made me a good friend.
Creía que me hacía ser buen amigo.
But I felt tired and empty inside.
Pero me sentía cansado y vacío por dentro.
Saying no felt like being rude.
Decir que no se sentía como ser grosero.
Now I see it differently.
Ahora lo veo de otra manera.
A kind no is a gift.
Un no amable es un regalo.
It shows I respect my own time.
Muestra que respeto mi propio tiempo.
It also respects the other person.
También respeta a la otra persona.
I can say no with a smile.
Puedo decir no con una sonrisa.
I don't need to explain much.
No necesito dar muchas explicaciones.
Just a simple, honest answer.

I feel lighter when I am true.
