I saw an old friend today.
Hoy vi a un viejo amigo.
We had not met in ten years.
No nos veíamos desde hacía diez años.
At first, we were shy.
Al principio, estábamos tímidos.
But then we started to talk.
Pero luego empezamos a hablar.
It felt like no time had passed.
Parecía que no había pasado el tiempo.
We laughed about old jokes.
Nos reímos de viejos chistes.
We talked about our lives now.
Hablamos de nuestras vidas ahora.
Some things had changed a lot.
Algunas cosas habían cambiado mucho.
But our connection was still there.
Pero nuestra conexión seguía ahí.
I felt grateful for that moment.
Me sentí agradecido por ese momento.
It reminded me that some bonds stay.
Me recordó que algunos lazos permanecen.
I hope we do not wait so long again.
Espero que no esperemos tanto otra vez.
