I sit by the window on this evening flight.
मैं इस शाम की उड़ान में खिड़की के पास बैठा हूँ।
The sky is a deep orange fading to purple.
आसमान गहरे नारंगी से बैंगनी हो रहा है।
Below me, tiny city lights start to appear.
नीचे छोटी-छोटी शहर की रोशनियाँ दिखने लगी हैं।
I wonder who lives in each little glow.
सोचता हूँ हर उस छोटी रोशनी में कौन रहता है।
This trip is for work, not for fun.
यह यात्रा काम के लिए है, मौज-मस्ती के लिए नहीं।
I feel a bit lonely up here.
यहाँ ऊपर थोड़ा अकेलापन महसूस होता है।
The clouds look like soft white hills.
बादल नरम सफेद पहाड़ियों जैसे लगते हैं।
I press my forehead against the cold glass.
मैं अपना माथा ठंडे शीशे से लगाता हूँ।
Everything on the ground seems so far away.
ज़मीन पर सब कुछ बहुत दूर लगता है।
I close my eyes and listen to the engine hum.
मैं आँखें बंद करता हूँ और इंजन की गूँज सुनता हूँ।
Maybe this sadness is part of moving forward.
शायद यह उदासी आगे बढ़ने का हिस्सा है।
I open my eyes as the last light disappears.
आखिरी रोशनी गायब होते ही मैं आँखें खोलता हूँ।
