I step out and the air hits me.
밖으로 나오자 공기가 나를 감싼다.
It smells like fried dough and hot oil.
튀긴 반죽과 뜨거운 기름 냄새가 난다.
My stomach growls right away.
배가 바로 꼬르륵 소리를 낸다.
I follow the smell to a small cart.
냄새를 따라 작은 포장마차로 간다.
The vendor is busy, hands moving fast.
주인은 바쁘게 손을 움직인다.
I order a skewer of grilled meat.
나는 고기 꼬치 하나를 주문한다.
The smoke rises and stings my eyes.
연기가 올라와 눈이 따갑다.
But I don't mind because it smells so good.
하지만 냄새가 너무 좋아서 괜찮다.
I take a bite and it's hot and juicy.
한 입 베어 무니 뜨겁고 육즙이 넘친다.
This is the best part of the night.
이게 바로 밤의 최고다.
The city feels alive around me.
도시가 내 주위에서 살아 숨쉰다.
I walk slowly, eating and watching people.
나는 천천히 걸으며 먹고 사람들을 본다.
